![]() ![]() (I always updated the OO versions, but the day I installed 4.1.1 I couldn't make PDF's of "big" files anymore - I put big between brackets because 10MB is not that big imho, I need to show illustrations and photos at their best. I was convinced that the repetitive crashing was Windows 8's fault. I would like to share my experience with exporting a big presentation file to PDF. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programmes several times. I am using the most up-to-date version of OpenOffice and I have the most up-to-date version of Adobe Acrobat. I cannot attach the most recent problem file as it is too large. Hopefully someone can help me because otherwise I'm going to stop using the programme. I tweeted my displeasure and was given this forum. I posted something in another area for support back in August and have checked many times but have never received any support. I was successful in copy and pasting my slides to a new presentation one time, but lately just copying slides results in me being kicked out. Once this has happened I try to vary the perametres to make it work, but it never does. When I try to export the file as a PDF using the 'export directly to pdf' button, it attempts to do so and then crashes kicking me out of the programme all together. I don't bother with transitions or videos or sounds being imbedded (the sounds rarely work in my experience). These presentations range from 15 to 130 slides. I make a lot of presentations with Impress for my business. ![]()
